Good Causes

During our first year Stow Longa Village Community have contributed to the following good causes…..

£128.41 St. Botolph’s Church, Stow Longa (½ the profit made from the annual village barbecue).

 £128.00 Contribution to the Parish Council towards play equipment for the village play area (the other ½ of the profit made from the annual village barbecue).

£25.00 The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (one of the benefiting charities of the Trafalgar Bicentenary Celebration) from the profit made from the Beacon Lighting event.

£25.00 Seafarers UK (the other benefiting charity of the Trafalgar Bicentenary Celebration) also from the profit made from the Beacon Lighting event.

£50.00 East Anglia Air Ambulance from the carol singing evening.

£48.00 Oxfam, Farm Africa – 2 goats for Africa also from the carol singing evening.

We would also like to congratulate Jenny Jarvis, who, in addition to delivering the village's milk, took part in the Great North Run and raised over £1395 for the charity in 2006.
