Charity

As a charity, the Friends of St Botolph's Church in Stow Longa (it's a long name, but there are lots of St Botolphs!) has a board of trustees that is elected from its membership.
Members.
Members of the charity can vote to elect a trustee and can be candidates to be trustees. Board members have certain roles such as chairman or treasurer and the board sits to make its decisions in meetings, duly called, throughout the year. Trustees will hold their positions until the next election when new trustees can be voted on to the board. The election process is usually held during the Annual General Meeting normally held in October each year.
Member choices.
After running for a while we had had the opportunity to fine tune our membership offerings. There are two types of memberships that you could choose to go for.
Fees.
Your membership fee can be paid as a lump sum, or in twelve equal parts, once a month.
Currently the fee for a basic member is set at £30 per annum or £2.50 per month.
The membership package is £60 providing you with a saving over the ticket price for the free events.

You can use our donate button, see one of the Trustees at any of the events that we organise every year, or set up a standing order to pay monthly or to make sure you don't forget to renew your subscription each year.

Burns Night 2016

The most recent event held at the church was well attended and a great success.
We've made a little video of one of the hi-lights of the evening.

These are just a select few photos from the many that were taken during the evening.
